I don't do counseling...

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that or at least a statement like that from accomplished pastors. I just recently for example read of a pastor who doesn’t meet with people from his church for counseling because those kinds of meetings “drain” him.

hello there.

i agree. i learn a lot of God in church but i must admit that I learn so much more of God and biblical living in my counseling sessions with my pastor! because then it is directly speaking in to my life and situation. Dont get me wrong, I love going to church on Sundays to learn more of God and hear what has to change in my life still, but, in the counseling sessions I learn so much more how to get to know God better through my situation and how to honour God more in the way im handling my situation!

by the way, i think, if a pastor doesnt do that one on one thing, how is he gonna know what the need is of the people in his church and what to pray for them and how to sheperd them in their needs to Glorify God more?!

afterall, everything is about the glory of God!
